I sure enjoyed your site! I have been thinking for months that I would like to have a pair of Pygmy goats. I LOVE animals, and these goats are so adorable. We live in the country, and have a huge field in which we grow hay, perfect place to pen them in. Do they need regular vaccinations like cats and dogs need? I will read up more on them, and see if we have any local ones that I can go and visit. Thank you for your site!
Sincerely,
Peg Klapwyk....PS...we live in Washington State, pretty mild winters, for the most part |

Hi David love all the pics and info on your web site it's great.
I am going to be getting a couple of wethers (5 months old) the guy is
looking after them for me while I get my fence work done (if the fencer will
cone out in this weather (Scotland). Anyway I was wondering what size of
paddock would you recommend for 2 wethers do not want it to be to big or to
small.
Thanks and Happy New Year.

Mine usually go out even on the coldest of days, down to zero - below that
and that hole up in the barn on their own. As long as there is sunshine and
not much wind or precip, they seem to be fine. They would need access to
shelter if they want it though. |

Mine stay in their house when its cold and scream for me to come to them. Which
I do because they have me trained lol :P

Mine stand in the doorway of the
barn and scream at me to feed them in the cold weather:)

I don't think my chunky monkey has a problem. I was scratching his
shoulders. My fingertips were actually getting hot in his coat. :D

I think I'm going to look for a couple of goats towards spring, though
definitely Nubians for me ... had friends with Nubians years ago and fell in
love with the faces and ears and always intended to do some paintings of
them as models.
Wethers, though, don't plan to get into breeding another species at this
time in my life. Just want them as 'barnyard pets' and weed trimmers. Have a
small shelter near the house that isn't being used now and can be fenced so
they can be confined at night.

| Your goats are beautiful! I'm so sorry about Joey. I have 2 pygmies also &the black one with blue eyes was very sick nd tiny when I first got her. She had intestine problems and it was touch and go for a long time, but she now runs and plays even tho she is tiny & i really hope she stays small. Their names are Weeder and Gerdy (Weed-eater & Gertrude) Gerdy born Nov.2009 & Weeder Jan.2010. Gerdy was very happy to see Weeder. they are such a delightful pet I hope mine live a very long time and Best Wishes to Henry! Oh, we live in Florida USA so it doesn't snow but this winter was tough and because Weeder was ill, I put doggie sweaters on her. |

| Just to congratulate you on the website, I really enjoyed looking through. I had 2 Pygmys Dill and Damson, Henry looks very much like Dill who died aged 16 years and 6 months his brother Damson died just before his 16 years. I miss them terribly even though I have two Golden Guernsey goats I adore. Henry looks very happy and certainly has a good life. I am sorry to see you lost Joey who looked lovely. Good luck with your goatkeeping. Goats are great. |
